Staying safe
Most people on Twelve Baskets are exactly who they say they are. These habits help keep it that way.
In an emergency
- Call 112 for police, fire or ambulance anywhere in India.
- For online fraud, call the cyber crime helpline on 1930 or report it at cybercrime.gov.in.
- Women’s helpline: 181.
Before you hire
- Look for the church-verified badge, reviews, endorsements from church members and how quickly they reply.
- Keep the conversation in Twelve Baskets Messages until you are comfortable. You don’t need to share your number to get a quote.
- Ask for a written quote. Providers can send one in Messages, and you can accept it there.
- For work at home, meet in daylight and let someone know who is coming and when.
Paying
- You pay providers directly. Twelve Baskets never asks you to pay for a job, and we will never ask for your OTP, PIN or card details.
- Be careful with large advance payments, especially to someone with no reviews. A small booking deposit is normal; the full amount up front is not.
- Never share an OTP or approve a UPI “collect” request you did not expect. Receiving money never needs your PIN.
If something feels wrong
- After every enquiry we ask “Was this vendor genuine?”. Answering “No” sends it straight to our team. You can find it at the bottom of each conversation in Messages.
- Use “Report this listing” at the bottom of any provider’s page.
- Or write to us at twelvebaskets@exaltesglobal.com. We read every message and act on reports, usually within a day.
What verification means
The church-verified badge means a pastor vouched for the provider and we checked their letter. It is a good sign, but not a guarantee of their work. Read how verification works.
